Commissioned Art Tour
In 2017, the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District completed Project WINGSPAN, the airport’s $127 million terminal improvement program. A key component of this project was the airport’s desire to incorporate art into the facility to advance the aesthetics of the building and to create a sense of place for residents and visitors alike. The airport selected seventeen new, multimedia artworks that celebrate the Upstate region of South Carolina through the themes of where we’ve come from, where we live and where we’re going.
