To better accommodate the coverage of stories at GSP, we request that members of the media contact us as a courtesy prior to arriving at the airport. Please notify us when you plan to be onsite by contacting us at 864.968.4274 or [email protected].
Members of the Communications team can be contacted directly at:
Media vehicles should be parked in public parking lots. Large satellite trucks will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. Please call 864.968.4272 or email [email protected] in advance of coming to the airport to verify parking arrangements. Security regulations require that vehicles parked along the airport’s roadways must be attended at all times. Unattended vehicles will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Media outlets are welcome in all areas of the airport that are accessible to the public including the ticket lobby, baggage claim, parking lots and roadways. The terminal concourses, airfield areas, buildings and land will require a personal escort by a credentialed member of the District’s communications team.
Restaurants, shops, lounges, airline and rental car operating spaces, and all other tenant leasehold areas are private. Permission must be obtained from those entities before filming inside spaces leased by third-parties.
Equipment and/or personnel at the security checkpoint may not be filmed or photographed. In the event that enhanced security procedures are mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) or other regulatory authority, there may be additional restrictions on media access.
Interior building live shots are permitted with wireless technology. Cords may not be used inside buildings. Do not block egress or walking paths. Media visits must not impede passenger traffic or airport operations.
Requests to film from the airfield at GSP are handled on a case-by-case basis. Decisions are made based on the airport’s manpower to accommodate such requests, as well as operational and safety considerations.
