DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR MASTER PLAN PROJECT
GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, SC
Notice is hereby given that a Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) was prepared to evaluate the potential environmental impacts resulting from the proposed master plan projects (“proposed action”) at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP).
According to the Airport Master Plan, various improvements or projects are needed at GSP to address their aviation needs and continue advancing their mission and vision. The proposed action entails the construction of a Southside Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Facility; Westside Manufacture, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Facility; Concourse A and B Expansion; and FBO / GA Expansion. These projects or improvements are proposed within the boundaries of airport property.
This DEA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), FAA Order 5050.4B – NEPA Implementing Instructions for Airport Actions, FAA Order 1050.1F – Environmental Impacts: Policies and Procedures and related statutes and orders.

Comments received on the DEA in writing on or before the close of business on September 09, 2022 will be considered and addressed in the Final Environmental Assessment (FEA) for the proposed action. Based on a review of the FEA, the FAA will determine the significance of potential impacts and either issue a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) or require a more detailed study.
