Patient Reception Exercise Taking Place at GSP International Airport

A Full scale emergency training exercise called Blazing Fury is taking place at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport today April 25th and tomorrow April 26th.
The exercise includes a scenario that involves the transport of patients from the scene of the incident to GSP and then onto area hospitals. This is only a drill but it will involve equipment and personnel from a number of different organizations. Those living and traveling in the area immediately surrounding the north end of the airport including Hwy.101, Hwy. 80 and Brockman McClimon Road may be affected by residual noises.
Set up is today with the actual exercise scheduled to take place tomorrow from 8am-3pm at the GSP Airport north ramp. The exercise will be led by the Army Federal Coordinating Center from Ft. Jackson with support from local emergency management organizations.
