Greenville-Spartanburg Airport is accepting applications for a Facilities Maintenance Technician Entry Level. Download application fill it out and fax to the Human Resource Department at 864-848-6225. Or apply in person at the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission Office located in the building directly below the tower, applications will be taken from 8:30am until 11:30am and 1:30pm until 4:30pm. Monday thru Friday. E.O.E.
Principal Duties: Assist maintenance technicians in the general maintenance of all airport facilities and equipment including but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, building, and HVAC repairs. Obtains tools, materials and supplies for assigned jobs. Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of facilities and equipment as directed. Performs new installation of facility structures, utilities and equipment under the direction of the maintenance supervisor and maintenance technicians. Responsible for minor repairs when the skills of a technician are not needed. Will be responsible for clean up of pre-assigned areas and workspaces. Shall perform other duties necessary to keep the airport operating safely and efficiently. Painting and Sheet-rock work required. Required Knowledge and Skills: Shall have a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent, and least one-year experience. Must understand the operation of various types of meters and measuring equipment. Must have the ability to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing. Shall be knowledgeable in operating power tools and equipment necessary to perform industrial maintenance. 5. Shall have sufficient skills to assist in installing and maintaining equipment such as: Door closers, standard locks and strikes, light fixtures, industrial commodes, urinals and sinks, and other equipment found in an industrial facility. Will be required to work from ladders and lifts. Will be required to move or lift objects up to 100 pounds without assistance. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to drive vehicles equipped with both manual and automatic transmissions.
