In these days and times, air travel can be challenging but if you plan it right, it can be comfortable, convenient and safe. To help ensure that your next trip for business or pleasure is as hassle-free as possible, GSP International offers answers to the most frequently asked questions.


I lost or left a personal item on-board the aircraft?
Please call the 1-800 number of the airline on which you were traveling. If you do not know the number or experience difficulty in locating the number, you may call the airport switchboard at 864-877-7426 to obtain the appropriate number.

Where is parking available?
Parking is available in 4 different locations. Short-term parking is located closest to the terminal building. Daily parking is located to the right of the terminal building on approach. There are two garages located in front of the terminal on both the left and right side. By turning right at the first stop sign after taking Exit 57 off Interstate 85 one can access long-term parking.

How can I check the status of my flight?
Call the 1-800 number of the airline on which you are traveling.

I lost something inside the airport or in an airport parking area, which number should I call?
Please call 864-877-7426 between the hours of 5:30 AM and 9:00 PM daily.

How should I dress to travel on-board an aircraft?
Comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes is the preferred options. Please avoid clothing or shoes containing excessive metal such as steel-toed boots and unnecessary jewelry.

How early should I arrive at the airport before departure?
The airlines recommend that passengers arrive 90 minutes to 2 hours prior to departure.

Where should I park if I am just picking up a passenger?
For visitors planning a short stay at the airport, 30 minutes or less, parking is available in the short-term lot for just $1.00 for the first 30 minutes. Additional time will require additional fees.

How can I get a list of items that are approved for carry-on and checked baggage?
Visit the TSA site at www.tsa.gov and click on travel tips. The front page of the GSP website contains a link to TSA.

How many bags can I take with me?
Currently checked bags are limited to 2 per customer. Carry-on bags are limited to 1 carry-on plus a personal item. Additional fees and other restrictions may apply depending upon the airline. Please call the 1-800 of the airline on which you are traveling to ensure you have the latest information concerning passenger baggage.
