GSP International Airport Announces the Completion of Two Customer Service Related Projects Just In Time for the Busy Holiday Season
Date: November 19, 2012
The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Economy Parking Lot expansion project and luggage cart system are available to the public.
Passengers began parking in the expansion on Friday, November 16th just in time for the busy Thanksgiving travel week. Approximately 415 parking spaces have been added to the economy parking lot in an effort to offer passengers a greater opportunity to take advantage of the $4 per day Economy parking lot rate. This addition increases the current 1,097 available parking spaces by 40 percent.
To further assist passengers parking in the Economy parking lot a luggage cart system was installed in two locations inside of the lot, along with additional carts available inside the baggage claim area. These carts are available for passengers to rent for $2 with a $0.25 refund upon the return of the cart to any of the 3 cart rental locations.
To help further ease the potential for stress related travel, passengers are also reminded about the GSP Parking Reservation Program. Visit gspairport.com and click on the parking reservation icon to find out more about how to pick and reserve a parking space before heading to the airport.
